Having 75 seconds of 33% running speed, more armor (vs all sources iirc) which can't be removed and holy damage is good enough for me to keep it in my D/E build. Together with only stoneflesh I almost reduce recieved dmg to zero, adding with a extra armor skill I'm sure i'm save.

Wastrels Collapseis the worst elite ever, it does 1 KD after 5 seconds of a foe doing nothing, no damage and stupidly easy to remove, this skill makes Archers signet look godly.

Keystone Signet might not be Barrage, but...the point is it could be used in a build. It's an elite skill that does something unique and interesting, you just have to use it right! (I don't know how, sorry.)

Although there are a ton of really shitty elites and people like complaining about them, it's not the popularity or power of elites that makes them the worst. Elites are bad because of the way people use them, and the people that use them. If you used Keystone Signet in a normal build, it would suck, but in an leet mesmer build (which I don't know), it rocks!

So in theory, worst elite is clearly Seeping Wound. Derivative, uninteresting, lame, sucky. In practice, Quivering Blade...or Whirling Axe, or Life Transfer, or Life Sheath, or Preservation...too many to list.

Keystone Signet works well in a mostly-signet based interrupt build or damage build coupled with Smiting Signets.

The stupidest elite (maybe not the worst) in my opinion is Simple Theivery or Quick Shot.

W/A with Stonefist makes it less useless.

Magehunter Smash: Maybe if it can't be blocked or evaded, but I'd rather have another Hammer Mastery elite.

Forecful Blow: Again, rather have another Hammer Mastery elite.

"Coward!": This one less so, it can have it's uses, but why not bring a different knockdown?

And most worthless?

Eh? Hundred Blades is trash. Even before Factions/Nightfall came out. Imagine running a sword warrior with HB in PvP. People would just laugh you off the arena. Thats why the typical PvP sword warrior before F/N consisted of sever/gash/final but the elite was a utility elite such as Charge.

But your point is flawed because Factions and Nightfall ARE out. What is the point of ever running this skill on a sword warrior.

Considering that 100 Blades is a crap elite... and using it is just an excuse for you to use a sword and not an axe. Was it ever possible to play a sword warrior more effectively than an Axe warrior before Factions/Nightfall?

Ubermancer.... did you seriously just include Equinox in your list of elites that don't suck? If your running that skill, you must have only 7 other skills, and even then i'd prefer an empty slot!

I remember way back in the beta's before they made hundred blades an elite, I dumped it the moment I got a better skill, can't really remember what the skill was, but really the only reason this skill is elite is so Me/W can't use it with Illusionary weapon.

Trouble is, Me/W CAN use it with IW - they just need to have the right party set up. HB has it's uses anyway. Yes, farming, but it's still a use.

Notice, Sir, that not one of those skills is elite. Guess what that means? Yes, they can take a utility as their elite, which, in the case of "Charge!" would be handy for the whole party... Swords and Axes were never designed to do the same thing anyway - Swords are more tactical/consistant, Axes are more for brute strength. Anyway, this is the wrong place for this sort of discussion anyway.

Worst elite I've come across is another vote for Balthazar's Pendulum - it just doesnt do enough of anything - if it stopped the next 1...X knockdowns, it might be worth considering, but as it stands, it isn't even worth an ordinary skill slot.

Yes, I like the idea of the skill but it's certainly not elite-worthy. Something you suggest like the next 1....x knockdowns would perhaps make it more viable. When I capped it, however, I went for a play around in Bahdok Caverns with it. It was useful to keep myself upright when the Kournan Scribes cast Meteor....but that's about it. Defender's Zeal ftw.

Of all the elites I've used the one I have found the least use for is Keystone.

As for quickshot, I don't understand the haters, I use this one all the time. When used with the slow firing but powerful Razorjaws hornbow, you can really speed things up. Add favorable winds and kindle arrows and its quite good. I will lead with penetrating attack, then hit with QS. It will fire 2 armor penetrating shots, and burn them, in about 1 second. I think all elites have a use somewhere, just some require a little more thought and planning to be useful.
